Medical Camps

The Angama Foundation is a proud supporter of the biannual medical camp initiated by the Anne K Taylor Fund. The medical camp is held over two days, encouraging those within several kilometers of Angama Mara to seek free medical services and medication.

Bringing Healthcare to Communities

Over 400 patients were seen during a recent camp held at the Emurutoto Health Clinic. With the help of Narok County Health, Transmara West Subcounty Health, and Beyond Zero, many patients were seen who may not have otherwise had access to care, unveiling some serious health concerns and allowing the right treatment path to be identified in a timely manner.

The goal is to regularly establish access to healthcare specialists while educating the community on how to lower their risk of non-communicable diseases, such as hypertension and diabetes, thereby ultimately raising the level of health in the immediate community.

The Angama Foundation has proudly stepped up to maintain the medical camps, continuing to work with the county government and NCD Alliance of Kenya. The efforts are continued through a follow-up with local county health officials as well as through the Angama Clinic.

Together we aim to make a difference in the health of the community at large.
