What to Expect
Under the expert guidance of our in-house team, guests can coordinate private, complimentary sessions for photography tutorials and editing
Hire a photographer to accompany you in capturing precious memories during your safari through Kimana Sanctuary or Amboseli National Park, or while you gaze upon Kili on a walking safari
Explore a range of photographic gear: The Studio offers a selection of new DSLR and mirrorless cameras and lenses available for rent
Guests have access to large-screen Apple desktops equipped with the most up-to-date software for editing and sharing purposes
Make use of a professional printer and print your images on paper or canvas; alternatively, you can purchase a piece from our catalogue to take home with you
Capturing stunning images of Amboseli and Kimana is an enjoyable and accessible experience for everyone on safari, thanks to the breathtaking scenery, plentiful wildlife and our trained guides who are attuned to your photographic requirements.
Cameras and lenses can be rented from the Photographic Studio, whether for two hours, a day or for the entire trip. The Studio has the top camera brands for hire, such as Canon, Nikon and Sony — including the Sony Alpha 7III mirrorless camera. Lenses include telephoto and wide angle lenses.

Guests have the opportunity to partake in hands-on, one-on-one photographic tutorials and editing sessions, both of which are included in the rate. Large screen Apple desktops, loaded with the latest software, are available for guest use during the tutorial.
Guests wanting to improve their technical photographic skills and knowledge can spend time exploring Amboseli with seasoned safari photographic guides.

Photographer accompanies the guests in their safari vehicle. Half-day photoshoot of guests on safari (morning is preferential due to lighting). Guests to have private use of their safari vehicle (at extra cost if applicable and subject to availability).

–Approximately 50 beautifully edited images (mixture of people/animals and landscapes)

It is suggested this is split into two sessions of 4 hours in the morning, and 4 hours in the late afternoon so as to make the best of the light. The middle of the day will be spent editing. Guests to have private use of their safari vehicle (at extra cost if applicable and subject to availability)
