Born in Baringo in the town of Kudu, Lemaalo grew up as a herdsboy and his nickname is Kudu, after both his town and the beautiful antelope after which it is named. After high school he trained as a buttler at Tortilis Camp for a year. In 2008 he joined Koyiaki guiding school graduating two years later. Lemaalo has extensive experience guiding in some of Kenya’s loveliest wildlife reserves: Shaba National Reserve, Amboseli, Samburu, Lewa Downs and Buffalo Springs. With his 7 years in guiding, Lemaalo is a firm favourite with Angama’s guests with his big smile and wonderful gift of storytelling. They always want to take him home. He loves travelling and reading.
