James and his wife Kerry are a part of the broader Angama Mara family, as Kerry’s brother Mark built our lodge. Kerry cut her teeth opening nearby Sabuk lodge, and now spends her days leading trips through Kenya’s rugged north. James hails from Vermont and has a background and passion for ecology and biology – much of the landscaping around Angama Mara was undertaken by James with his bare hands.
